Took this one with all the lights off so the steam would show up. You can see the wisps curling over the stacks, with the orange flames along the side. I leave it running on the counter after the kids go to bed and it's become my favorite part of the night.
Went with the bronze one and it looks even better in person, like an old brass engine from an antique shop. It's sitting on a book on my dresser and the amber flames along the side make that whole corner glow. My husband walked in, saw it and asked how much I paid for the antique.
Squeezed it onto the shelf between my old radio and my knickknacks and I'm so glad I did. With the lights down low the mist comes straight up out of the stack like a real steam engine, and the windows glow a soft teal. That room used to feel so dry at night and now it doesn't. My grandson keeps asking me to turn it on for him.
Blue is my favorite of the light colors. The windows and the flames along the side glow blue and a couple of the stacks have a ring of blue light on top, so it looks great on the wood table at night. Plugged it in, filled the tank and had mist coming out in about a minute.
Switched it over to green tonight and I think this might be my favorite. Looks so cool with the other lights off, even the front stack has a green ring on top. Been using it every night for two weeks and it's been solid.
Set it up on the shelf next to my Santa and the mini trees and it fits right in. The orange windows and flames look so cozy at night. I put a few drops of pine oil in the tank and the whole room smells like Christmas. My nephew keeps asking when it's going to choo choo.
Unboxing pic, in case anyone wants to know what comes in the box. The locomotive was in a plastic bag with the white power cable and a white foam block, nothing missing. Put it on the table, filled the tank and it was running in about five minutes.
Got this as an anniversary gift for my husband, who has loved trains since he was a kid. He set it up on his desk next to his model engines, added a few drops of cedarwood, and grinned for a solid minute. It's become how he unwinds after work and I love that he finally has something on his desk that isn't a screen.
After a long day I turn off the big light, put a little eucalyptus in the tank and watch the steam drift up out of the stacks. Sounds silly but it's the most relaxed I feel all day, and way better than scrolling on my phone.
I was skeptical about paying for a diffuser shaped like a train, but it's built better than I expected and the steam rings are the real deal. First night I sat there for twenty minutes just watching them float up. It's been running in our living room most evenings since December and the whole place smells great. My wife says it's the first gadget I've bought that she actually likes.
I'm a really light sleeper and every humidifier I've tried had some kind of gurgle or hum. This one is almost silent, the only way I know it's running is the flames glowing on my nightstand.
We live in a small apartment and the radiators dry the air out so badly in winter that I get static shocks and my skin feels tight. I've tried a couple of plain humidifiers and they always ended up hidden behind the couch because they were so ugly. This one gets to sit out on the bookshelf because it actually looks good, so it gets used every day. Refilling is easy and cleaning takes about a minute.
Our bedroom gets so dry once the heat comes on and I was waking up every morning with a scratchy throat. I've been running this on the dresser with a few drops of lavender for about a month and mornings are way better. It's quiet enough that I never hear it, I just see the flames glowing.
Bought this for my father in law who has collected model trains for years and he lit up when he opened it. It sits on his workbench now and he refills the tank every morning like it's a pet. Now the whole family is fighting over who gets the next one.
Love it, the steam looks great and it's really relaxing to watch. Only knocking a star off because shipping took 12 days, which was a nail biter before Christmas. It showed up two days before the 25th in perfect shape, I just would've liked a little more breathing room.
Bought it mostly for the dry air but it turned into the best decor piece in the living room. Every guest asks about the train and then they just stand there watching the steam.
