My favorite slide so far is the angel with huge wings over the mountains, with a swirling galaxy right above her. It looks like a painting on the ceiling when the room is dark. I didn't expect that much detail from something this small.
Mine lives on the floor next to the bed, plugged into a USB adapter in a power strip. The gooseneck stands straight up on its own, which I didn't expect from a cable. In this shot the lens and the warm light at the base are both on.
The spiral galaxy slide on our ceiling, and the chandelier ended up right in the middle of it like we'd planned it. The orange center and the blue edges look more vivid in the room than they do in this photo. Switching over from the Milky Way slide took about five seconds.
Plugged into an old phone charger in the outlet by the door, and the warm glow at the bottom is now our hallway night light. No more stubbing toes on the shoes in the dark. The neck curves out from the outlet and holds its shape.
Our new apartment has a plain white ceiling and a landlord who wouldn't love glow stickers, so this was the easy answer. The Milky Way slide covers the whole ceiling, even the round fixture in the middle, and nothing had to be stuck or screwed up there. It took me a few minutes to get it pointing where I wanted.
Here it is on my nightstand, lens facing out, plugged into a multi-port USB wall adapter with my other chargers. It's smaller than I expected. One bend of the neck and it points at the ceiling.
Our bedroom ceiling with the Milky Way slide, taken from the bed with the blinds closed. The band runs diagonally across the room and the stars reach all the way to the corners. My partner thought I was exaggerating about how starry it gets in here until I showed them this.
Night light mode on my bedside table, plugged into the USB adapter in the wall outlet. It's bright enough to find the bathroom at 3am without turning on the big lamp. My phone made it look brighter than it is in person, and you can dim it anyway.
Took this from my pillow after turning off every light in the room. The stars cover the ceiling and the Milky Way has a touch of green in it, at least in my photo. The picture is a little blurry because I was half asleep, which tells you how relaxing it is.
Gift from my sister, and we've used it every night since it arrived. You can see the wooden beam on the right of the picture, and the stars wrap right around it, which looks even better in person. The gooseneck stays exactly where I bend it, so I only had to aim it once.
First night with it. Lights off, door shut, and the Milky Way slide spread across the ceiling like a real night sky. It looked better in the room than in this photo. I lay there for twenty minutes before I remembered I was supposed to be going to bed.
Using it in my classroom reading corner with the 12 slide set. My first graders go quiet the second I turn off the lights, and they argue over who gets to pick the slide.
Love it, but I wish I'd gotten the 12 slide bundle instead of the 3. I went through the Milky Way, the red nebula and the spiral galaxy in the first week and kept wanting more variety. I'm taking a star off because that one's on me, the projector itself is great.
My 8 year old finally sleeps in his own room again. The warm night light stays on, and the stars on the ceiling are the reward for staying there. Took two nights.
College move-in week: it sits on my desk, plugged into my laptop, and my dorm room now feels like a planetarium. My roommate is already asking if she can borrow it for her side.
Didn't expect to use the warm night light this much. It's soft enough that my husband doesn't wake up when I go to the bathroom at night, and I stopped stubbing my toes.
Father's Day gift from my daughter. She set it up herself, aimed it at the ceiling and made me lie down on her bed to see it. I'm not allowed to take it back to my room yet.
Summer nights are too hot and too bright to fall asleep, so I keep the blackout curtains closed and put the stars on, turned way down. It takes the edge off and I stopped looking at my phone in bed.
Mother's Day gift from my kids, and I didn't know I wanted it until I opened it. I plugged it in at the nightstand and lay there with the Milky Way for an hour.
Didn't expect much from something this small, but it covers my whole bedroom ceiling and the stars are sharp. The gooseneck holds whatever angle I bend it to.
Used it for my daughter's 10th birthday sleepover. Seven girls in sleeping bags under the Milky Way and not one of them asked for a phone. Two of the moms asked where I got it.
I do ten minutes of meditation every evening with the aurora slide on the ceiling. It sounds silly, but it's the first thing that has actually helped me calm my thoughts.
Bought a second one for my parents' room. My mom says it works better than her sleep app, and my dad, who rolls his eyes at everything, asked me which slide is the Milky Way.
Really cool, but it took me about ten minutes of trial and error to get the stars sharp. I kept moving it closer and farther until the Milky Way stopped looking fuzzy at the edges. Now it's great, but I'm docking a star for the fiddling.
Valentine's gift for my boyfriend, who's a huge astronomy nerd. We put the Milky Way on the ceiling and lay there talking for two hours with no phones. Best Valentine's we've had in a while.
Set it up on my desk and pointed it at the wall behind my monitor for video calls. The nebula slide looks good on camera without being distracting. My coworkers keep asking if it's a virtual background.
