This was a gift for my partner and I was nervous it would be one of those things that looks cool online and disappoints in person. It did not disappoint. The floating effect held steady from the first successful try and the warm glow makes it perfect for a bedside light that isn't too bright to sleep near.
The magnetic float actually works, I was fully expecting to be disappointed but it locked into place on my third try and hasn't budged since.
